The Zentrale Stelle Verpackungsregister (Central Agency Packaging Register – ZSVR) has been recognised with the "Digital Leader Award 2020" for building and running its digital platform, LUCID. It was awarded a place amongst the top five in the "Culture" category for its digital workplace culture. This award is a leading accolade in Germany's digital management culture. Digitalisation can only be successful if it is supported by a digital corporate culture.
As a small organisation, ZSVR has managed to position itself next to renowned major corporations. The award serves to honour lighthouse projects in the digital sphere as well as innovation drivers across all sectors and company sizes that serve to bring forward digital transformation and – as a consequence – bring German organisations with fresh approaches to the fore. The ZSVR leads by example: the LUCID Packaging Register serves to show how authorities in Germany can move with the times, thinking and working digitally right from inception. This achievement is the result of a team effort from all who work at the ZSVR, and represents another important signal for the successful digitalisation of institutions active in the public economic space.
