Explanation

Retail packaging and shipment packaging for domestic robots of all kinds are subject to system participation because they typically accumulate as waste with private final consumers – i.e. private households and comparable sources of waste generation (within the meaning of section 3 (11) VerpackG), above all IT service providers, office service providers and other service enterprises and administrative sections of companies, especially in trade and manufacturing.

The majority of domestic robots is distributed by online retailers, electronics stores, specialist IT firms, other specialist stores or via direct sales. The product is usually delivered to the customer in the original packaging. Only in exceptional cases are large commercial enterprises the end customers.
