Explanation

Retail packaging and grouped packaging for art paints (solid) in quantities of 15 items or fewer are subject to system participation because they typically accumulate as waste with private final consumers – i.e. private households and comparable sources of waste generation (within the meaning of section 3 (11) VerpackG) such as educational institutions (e.g. kindergartens).

Shipment packaging for art paints (solid) of all kinds typically accumulates as waste with private final consumers – i.e. private households and comparable sources of waste generation and, as such, is subject to system participation.

Specials

Use of the system participation requirement catalogue requires that the item in question be packaging within the meaning of section 3 (1) VerpackG in conjunction with appendix 1 VerpackG.
