Osnabrück’s mayor Wolfgang Griesert, together with chair Gunda Rachut will present the new Stiftung Zentrale Stelle Verpackungsregister (Foundation Central Agency Packaging Register) to companies throughout the region at the local chamber of industry and commerce. Located in Osnabrück, the Foundation’s role encompasses packaging recovery and recycling control, which has been standardised across the Federal Republic of Germany for the first time. As an entrusted body, the Foundation will commence its work on 1 January 2019 as required by the German Packaging Act.
