The minimum standard for determining the recyclability of packaging subject to system participation was published for the first time on 1 September 2019. The consultation, launched on 8 July 2020, was closed on 5 August 2020. The comments submitted are now being assessed, in coordination with government authorities. The consultation version represents an update to the contents compared to the 2019 edition, and will be the 2020 edition once published on 1 September of this year.
ZSVR closes consultation on the 2020 edition of the minimum standard for determining the recyclability of packaging

The Stiftung Zentrale Stelle Verpackungsregister (Foundation Central Agency Packaging Register – ZSVR) has prepared and updated the minimum standard for determining the recyclability of packaging pursuant to section 21 VerpackG (Verpackungsgesetz – Packaging Act) in its 2020 edition. As in the previous year, it did so in agreement with the German Environment Agency.
